It's a disturbing
production that delves into the twisted dark regions of S&M and Pink Movies,
with an ending that more resembles Tsukamoto's earlier cyberpunk work
(TETSUO comes immediately to mind).
Rinko (Kurosawa)
is an introverted young woman who works as a telephone therapist for a
suicide hotline at a health clinic. She feels isolated in her marriage
to a much older man and is generally unhappy with their relationship.
One day, Rinko receives a letter - "The secret your husband knows nothing
about..." and she soon finds herself involved in a sadistic game of perverse
sensations.
