This is, perhaps
Roman Polanski's most overlooked project, a vampire comedy that sputters
as much as it hits the target. But the sets are spectacular, some of it
is quite scary, the music is phenomenal, and Sharon Tate gets naked. Jack
MacGowran and Polanski play a goofy but heroic pair of vampire killers
determined to rescue the beautiful daughter of an innkeeper from a Dracula-like
bloodsucker. At the time of the original release, Polanski disowned this
film, claiming that MGM had destroyed it with unnecessary edits to the
"bathtub scene" (editing out 20 minutes over all). This is the fully uncut version, with nudity and with the original animated
introduction. - This title is for adult viewers.
