Two high school kids are fascinated by the grotesque activities of a serial killer. They decide to conduct their own investigation into the murder spree - and once they're on his trail - they begin stalking him. However, they aren't interested in exposing the killer, but rather to marvel and idolize his macabre handicraft.

This story is based on a long-running manga by Otsuichi [Hirotaka Adachi] who also penned 2017's TV series 'Ultraman Geed.' The director, Gen Takahashiu (born in Tokyo, 1965), originally found success with the horror film 'Lady Plastic' in 2001. He is known for successfully weaving surreal images into his youth oriented cinematic themes.
