After her brother goes missing, a young psychologist visits a notoriously haunted and cursed location known as 'Howling Village' to investigate his disappearance and uncover her family's dark history. This is a relentless horror film from Takashi Shimizu, the director of GRUDGE 1 and 2 (JUON), two groundbreaking movies which also starred Megumi Okina.

The movie is similar to other Shimizu productions like INNOCENT CURSE and, of course, the aforementioned JUON with emphasis on "hellish children ghosts" and "dark secrets revealed." This one benefits from surprisingly good special effects and its expansive backdrop. The film is the original uncut Japanese version with English subtitles.
