Very
little is known about director Kemal Horolu, a filmmaker who specialized
in Grindhouse roughies in the late '60s. Limited early bio information
shows he was born in Trabzon Turkey and migrated to the UK where he
was part of the Summer Olympics (Track and Field team) in 1948 and 1952.
SOME LIKE IT VIOLENT, shot in New York, was the
first film to bring him notoriety. Mr Horolu would die from Pancreatic
Cancer in Los Angels, November 1991 at age 65.
For
the first film, Bob O'Connell plays Johnny Scaro, a loud-mouthed, sadistic
sex racketeer who chops up mannequins with a machete for relaxation.
This rare roughie also features brutal thrills and the sex appeal of
busty Victoria Astor. In the second feature, Victoria Astor is back
as a Manhattan prostitute named Buxom Shelly. She is determined to support
her newborn baby (and pay her imprisoned husband's legal fees) with
a unique dedication to whoring. And the third entry in this triple feature
- once again - finds Bob O'Connell in the lead, this time as a low-end
television director who turns to making sexploitation films to support
his family but he soon slips into the perverted lifestyle.
