Koji Shiashi helmed this project a couple years after NOROI under the guise of presenting a collection of 'forbidden horror videos' that had been banned from viewing [while also including some references to his own found-footage hit 'Noroi']. The major cinematography is done by Koji's usual cameraman Yôhei Fukuda. One of the segments, Toshio San [City Lady] features legendary JU-ON director Takashi Shimizu.

Like other Shiaishi productions from this period, the entire emphasis is on presenting "true events" and the impact is achieved by using candid interviews, quick takes, blurry zooms and amateurish visuals. It's fun. Often alarming. Easily mistaken for authentic.
