A group of friends on a hunting trip in the wilderness are attacked by a vicious creature after they give shelter to a terrified young woman. The pace of the film has been described as meandering (by horror fans who aren't particularly interested in character development), but this SciFi Actioner is ultimately an endearing journey to an unexpected, shocking finale. Some unintentional humor and moments of melodrama are icing on this rather delicious cake, a cult movie surprise from Mexico.

This accomplished genre film was directed by Gilbert De Anda who had previously scored with NAGUAL DEMON SHAPESHIFTER. He would leave the director's chair for an acting career. He is still active today - concentrating mostly on TV work - after 100+ acting roles.
