This is a two-part adaption of an original Japanese manga by Masahiko Takakumi that inspired 1992's live action genre hit THE STORY OF RICKY. It's the ultra-violent story of a superhuman young martial artist and his adventures in a near future Japan during a social and political breakdown.

Tetsu Dezaki is the younger brother of legendary animation director Osamu Dezaki. The two of them formed Magic Bus animation studios in the early '70s, often working on productions together. RIKI-OH was one of Tetsu's early solo projects.
