and Virang move to their new house in the countryside with son Rohan
and Jhimil's younger sister. There is a mysterious old banyon tree in
the front yard. That tree and the house itself are haunted by dead zombie
who want to add new victims to their ranks. A local mad dwarf tries
to warn them of the danger, but they are too sophisticated to take his
tirade seriously. When their son begins to make 'imaginary friends'
the couple starts to think there may be danger lurking in the shadows
of their new home.
This
is the highly publicized debut from director Sourabh Usha Narang, produced
by his mentor Hindi superstar filmmaker Ram Gopal Varna (often considered
Bollywood's Tarantino). The film is a major departure from typical Indian
cinema as it does not include comic relief nor musical numbers. The concentration
is strictly on the horror element.
An
Indian/Hindi film with optional English subtitles, widescreen, 104 minutes;
small title logo in upper right corner; DVD encoded for WORLD FORMAT NTSC,
playable on any American machine. Extras include selected theatrical trailers.
