director: Yam Laranas
starring: Jomari Yllana · Iza Calzado · James Blanco · RonnieLazaro

Reminiscent
of other Asian horror films (ie, THE
EYE and DARK
WATER), but this one strongly benefits from superb cinematography,
quirky editing and impressive character development. Plus it's remarkably
scary at the most unexpected moments. Filipino critic Albert Igesias
listed this film as one of the 10 Best Horror Movies made in the Philippines.
This is considered one of director Yam Laranas' most important film,
second only to his ROAD
(akaABNORMAL).
Here
is the story of a young man who moves into an old, desolate apartment
building looking for peace and quiet. But it turns out that he can't
find either due to the constant eruptions of domestic violence caused
by neighbors down the hall. The wife and young daughter are routinely
victimized and beaten by a jealous husband. Soon, the new tenant begins
to hear strange noises and see strange sights in the dark hallway and...
eventually inside his apartment. He tells his girlfriend about the apparitions.
At first she is skeptic and suggests that he simply move out. But later,
she discovers that something very odd is going on and they have both
been swept into a terrifying situation.
