Director
Kaisuke Tengan (the son of legendary filmmaker Shohei Imamura) tells
the story of a young prizefighter forced to accept his new life after
an accident leaves him a paraplegic. Taichi has a motorcycle accident
which severely injures his back and spine. He must spend the rest of
his life in a wheelchair. After a bout with depression and alcoholism,
Taichi discovers a new way of life by embracing the ground-based martial
arts Aiki-Jujutsu.
