Based
on the life of Masutatsu Oyama, world-renown karate guru and creator of
Kyokushin-style karate. The Karate Society of Japan ostracizes Oyama after
fighting both a bull and a bear (see previous entries). Being well known
all over Japan, Oyama is approached by a promoter looking for talent for
an exhibition. Accompanied by Fujita, a judo expert, Oyama joins the fight
circuit. However, when he's told that he's supposed to "throw a fight,"
the karate champ refuses to cooperate.
A Japanese
film ; widescreen (1.85:1), fully uncut (90 min.) in DVD format, encoded
for REGION 1, playable on any American DVD machine; in Japanese language
with removable English subtitles as an option.
