Kyokushin-style karate. This story begins as Oyama is disqualified from

skids. He becomes a drunkard and then pisses off the Yakuza by beating
up some American GIs in the gangster-owned nightclub. Oyama retreats to
the backwoods where he takes lessons from Master Uchiyama, refines his
own style, befriends a kid and fights a bear. Eventually, he challenges
and defeats the Yakuza torpedo squad too.
