for being the most innovative, successful director in Australia. The B-films
of the Australian outback have a style and brutality all their own, pushing
the boundaries of good taste to the furthest point. Bourke's INN OF THE
DAMNED is such a film. This odd western/horror film is his most famous.
Mr Bourke died from heartfailure at age 62 in 2002.
During the late 1800’s,
in the Australian outback, a couple travels by carriage to small secluded
inn. That night, while they sleep, something creeps into their room and
kills them. An American bounty hunter is hired to unravel the Inn's chilling
secret.
