the cult director of DOBERMANN, delivers a new Spaghetti Western! Loosely
adapted from Jean "Mobius" Girraud's illustrated series BLUEBERRY,
this one tells the story of eccentric Sheriff Blueberry whose past past
comes back to haunt him when his town is invaded by an outlaw named Blount,
the man responsible for the murder of his first girlfriend. Everything
is further complicated when Blout and his gang invade Indian burial grounds
in search of an ancient buried treasure... a defiant act that causes the
Indians to retaliate.
NOTE - This Western became the subject of high controversy over the graphic
scenes of drug hallucination. The extraordinary "trip" segments
are indeed "mind expanding." You'll feel like you're inside
a peyote cloud, even if you've entered the film straight. This print also
contains the equally controversial Juliette Lewis / Vincent Cassel nude
scenes.
