red flowers cause three college students to have deadly premonitions.
Specifically, here is the story of three musician who have recurring dreams
that predict their deaths. They had experimented with a drug plant found
during a mysterious expedition through an indigenous territory in Mexico.
Today, they are members of a rock band and their leader, Neil, tries to
make them stay sober and focus on their music. But things aren't that
easy. The terror spreads through the group as their addiction reaches
new heights in horror.
This
is the debut film by independent filmmaker Alan Rudolph who later found
success with various films including Kurt Vonnegut's "Breakfast of
Champions" (1997) and "Secret Lives of Dentists" (2002).
Carl
Crow who plays Neil in this film had done lots of TV work and starred
in only a handful of movies, best known for his role in Elvis Presley's
"G.I. Blues" (1960) and "Mutiny in Outer Space" (1965).
PREMONITION would be his last film as he drowned
in the Pacific Ocean at age 42 after its release.
