Yukari Oshima's Final Starring Role

Original Chinese Title: LANG DAO JIANG HU [Incident at Lang Dao Harbor]

director: Chuan Chen
starring: Yukari Oshima ˇ Frances Yip ˇ Fat Chung ˇ Chin Siu-Ho ˇ Chin Yuet-Sang

Yukari Oshima (in her final starring role) plays Hong Kong police inspector Shum Ling. During a mission, a shooting goes badly and one of her officers is fatally injured. He is Ye Jin, her sister's fiancé. Shum Ling reports his death to older sister Tong. But the reaction is ugly, as Tong blames Shum Ling for his death. When the police investigation fails to produce further information, Tong masquerades as a masked vigilante (!?) to go after the criminals personally. However, she doesn't know her decision only complicates matters for Shum Ling who had actually faked Ye Jin's death so he could infiltrate the Triad gang.

This project would be the last headlining role for Yukari Oshima before retiring from the screen. She would do a few cameo roles over the next few years, but her career officially ends with this movie. She has since returned to her hometown of Fukuoka, Japan, where she actively promotes tourism for her city.
