An Australian
businesswoman, Emma Thompson, comes to the United States to sign a highpower
oil deal with a mega big energy company. Enroute to a press conference,
she is kidnapped and taken to a filthy shack in the wilderness, where
she is overpowered by Jim and his mentally-challenged assistant Pete.
Emma is quickly told that her capture was at random. Jim explains that
he's not looking for a ransom and that she will stay alive longer if she
does what she's told. Emma is brutally raped. A bit later, she manages
to escape but - when she can't climb a fence next to a busy highway -
she's caught again. The cycle of rape and brutality continues, escalating
into an extreme bloodbath.
Swedish
directors Sonny
Laguna and Tommy Wiklund traveled down a similar path with MADNESS
five years before. But they found International success in 2013 with WITHER, their "homage" to Evil Dead.
