Everything
seems to be going well for the top-tier model, Joy. She accepts a photo
session in Africa and her faithful-but-elusive lover Marc decides to
take a few days from his busy schedule and accompany her. While Joy
is modeling on an African beach, boyfriend Marc meets Paul, a local
'party animal' celebrity. The two men make plans to hook up later for
dinner and a swinging nightcap. When Joy realizes the extent
of Marc's presumed intentions, she is insulted and ultimately disgusted
by his behavior. She firmly rejects both men. The next day, Joy meets
and is seduced by beautiful Princess Malika, a torrid union that leads
to new encounters.
This
erotic French rarity is based on the popular memoirs of Joy Laurey,
[supposedly] a pseudonym for an American supermodel who wrote numerous
European tell-all books. Sergio Bergonzelli struck gold with his original
Joy film in 1982 (see JOY
TRILOGY). Zara Whites is probably best known for playing Joy
Laurey in KLEOPATRA:
JOY AND THE PHARAOHS a bit later.
