Claudia Jennings plays Desiree, a girl who lives deep in the Louisiana
swamp and supports herself (and her siblings) by poaching. Ben and deputy
Billy hope to get a little sexual comfort from the swamp rat when
they catch Desiree trapping alligators, and so they give chase. Desiree
outsmarts them but Billy accidentally shoots Ben and tells his sheriff
dad that Desiree did it. A search party is formed but quickly get out
of control. Soon the hunters become the hunted as Desiree exacts her revenge
for their violence against her family.
On the morning of
October 3 1979, Claudia Jennings fell asleep at the wheel of her VW convertible
in Malibu and collided head-on with a van on Topanga Canyon Boulevard.
She died a few minutes later from massive external and internal injuries.
She was 29.

With
the death of Claudia Jennings in 1979, Jan MacKenzie takes over the lead
role here as Angelique, a city girl introduced to the rugged ways of the
Louisiana swamp by her good-natured Cajun husband Big T. Angelique soon
must put her survival skills to use when she gets kidnapped and raped
by a rival brutish family as part of an ongoing feud.
Lead
actress Jan Mackenzie was married to the son of directors Beverly and
Ferd Sebastian (Tracy Sebastian known here as actor Tray Loren). Two years
earlier - in 1986/87 - Jan was part of GLOW [Gorgeous Ladies of
Wrestling] performing under name Luscious Lisa.
