Fully Uncut International Print of Film Unreleased in the United States

director: Leonard Shrader and Sheldon Renan
documentary starring: John Wayne Gacy · John Lennon · Jim Jones · Charlie Manson · George Wallace

Do not dismiss this film as a FACES OF DEATH ripoff. Unlike many other so-called 'shockumentaries,' this film is real. All of the footage comes from television News departments across the country or from private collectors. Much had never been seen previously.

Leonard Schrader, older brother of filmmaker Paul Schrader, was hired by Japanese producer Mataichiro Yamamoto (of Towa Productions) to direct this film for the Asian market where "Death Films" were very popular. But instead of delivering a "shockumentary" (as was expected), Schrader gave them a detailed explanation of how the Western Civilization is slowly falling apart under the weight of excessive personal violence. According to Schrader's film, the texture of the USA dramatically changed with the assassination of President John F Kennedy and - from that moment - began to unravel. He details the killings of both Bobby Kennedy and Martin Luther King (months apart), the attempted assassinations of Ronald Reagan and presidential candidate George Wallace. He delves deeply into the rash of serial killers, sex killers, and thrill killers than emerged within a few years, including Charles Whitman, David 'Son of Sam' Berkowitz, John Wayne Gacey, Jim Jones, Charles Manson, Ed Kemper, Brenda 'I Don't Like Mondays' Spencer, etc). The film ends with the murder of John Lennon, punctuated by an ironic comment that during the public memorial held in Lennon's memory at Central Park, two people were shot.
