Italian
Bombshell Gloria Guida plays a Streetwalker named Blue Jeans
director:
Mario Imperoli
starring: Gloria Guida · Paolo Carlini
· Annie Edel · Gianluigi Chirizzi · Rino Bolognesi
Starlet
Gloria Guida plays Daniela, a teenage streetwalker nicknamed "Blue
Jeans" because of the short-shorts she wears. After getting nabbed
in-the-act by the police, she's arrested on prostitution charges and taken
to the station. There, she claims to be the illegitimate daughter of a
wealthy local artist named Carlo Anselmi. Even though he denies it, she
is put in his protective custody until he's able to legally disavow the
relationship. Once situated in the country estate, Daniela settles into
a comfortable routine, thinking nothing of wandering around the house
naked, antagonizing the relationship between Carlo and his live-in girlfriend
Marisa, and disrupting his high-society parties. Then, somewhat oddly,
the story takes an unsuspected left turn into violence when Daniela's
pimp [boyfriend?] shows up and a murder plot is hatched.
Gloria Guida
was Miss Teenage Italy 1973 who parlayed that notoriety into box-office
gold. After her 1974 debut film, Silvio Amadio's sex romp THE
MINOR [La Minorenne], she delivered 25 more movies within ten
years, including the giallo SO
YOUNG SO LOVELY SO VICIOUS (also for Mr Amadio). As Gloria approached
age 30, she chose to make fewer films. In 1991, she married singer/actor
Johnny Dorelli [IL
MOSTRO]. They have one child and remain married today.
Director
Mario Imperoli has only made a handful of movies. His debut project was
the impressive MY
WIFE HAS A BODY MADE FOR LOVE followed by the remarkable thriller
SNAPSHOTS OF A CRIME . Mr Imperoli died from a heart attack at age 46 in
December 1977.
