Japanese businessman is attempting to raise his young son while his
wife lies in a 3-year+ coma at the hospital. To relieve some of his
tension, he visits (and joins) a mysterious S&M club. The subscription
is for one year, with absolutely no possibility of cancellation. Unlike
other S&M clubs, this one doesn't take place at a specific location,
rather - "to accelerate the wonder of the sado/ masochistic experience"
- it can happen at anytime, anyplace. Without warning, the club member
will be approached and accosted by a dominatrix. When things become
wildly uncomfortable, the man tries to break his contract but discovers
his troubles have just begun.
Hitoshi
Matsumoto is one of Japan's new wave of eccentric filmmakers, but he
is also half of a wildly popular comedy duo called Downtown.
He and his partner, Masatoshi Hamada, have been performing together
since the early '80s. Today, they dominate prime-time television in
Japan where they have become the voice of Nippon pop culture, especially
among the young people. Hitoshi became a motion picture director in
2007 with the feature comedy BIG
MAN JAPAN.
R100 is his fourth film.
A Japanese
film with English subtitles; widescreen format (16:9), fully uncut version
