Following his release from prison (for murdering his girlfriend's father), Martin returns home to a coastal town in pursuit of his former lover, Helen. She is not particularly happy to see Martin but is still drawn to him. A young boy Honda and his beautiful sister also get involved in Martin's obsession. As he tries to force his way back into Helen's life, Honda is drawn deeper and deeper into their twisted story until he finds himself in the middle of their violent relationship.

British actress Rachel Weisz (born of Hungarian and Austrian parents) has starred in 60+ films since 1992, including numerous Hollywood blockbusters [i.e., The Mummy, Runaway Jury, Bourne Legacy]. I WANT YOU was an early project for both Rachel and her director Michael Winterbottom (also from the United Kingdom). He is a avid admirer of German New Wave films, especially drawn to their improvisational element as evidenced in his hand-held (sometimes digital) photography and roughly edited jumps between scenes. Mr Winterbottom is also deeply attracted to music and erotica. Often his films feature both elements. This is very obvious here but even more telling in his NINE SONGS, a bold combination of British rock-n-roll and hardcore (XXX) sex.
