Here is the autobiographical
story of a young woman named Dow who - after finding her boyfriend in
bed with another woman - unloads her revolver into the two of them. This
double homicide lands her in Khang Paed (Cell 8) where she befriends Pak,
a young nurse who had killed her teen daughter's rapist. The two are schooled
in prison life by a lesbian double-murdered, but life becomes very difficult
when the prison's queenbee decides to take Dow as her wife. Even though
the naive Dow resists the amorous intentions, she is victim of a nasty
cucumber rape (among other violent confrontations).
The story not only
deals with Dow's prison-time but also her shift into prostitution upon
release. The movie was highly controversial - and, thus, a big boxoffice
hit - upon its release in Thailand,
fueled by the sexual themes and nudity (usually not seen in a Thai film).
