Here is the final
motion picture from Polish-born filmmaker Walerian Borowczyk (best known
for THE
BEAST and IMMORAL
WOMEN) in a special 2 DVD package (which includes the "director
approved edit" (87 minutes) and the fully uncut version (97 minutes).
It's a surrealistic
look at erotica, dealing with an unusual case of love and the struggle
for domination, starring Marina Pierro (from BEHIND
CONVENT WALLS). Ms Pierro plays a prostitute name Myriam who meets
a man - by chance - in the subway station. The two get off the train and
wander into a church for a steaming petting session. This leads the couple
back to her place, and to her bed. Before long, the young man discovers
that he's gotten involved in something much more complicated than a casual
fling.
Two
different versions of a French film; original widescreen, totally uncut
version (97 min.) and a director's approved version (87 minutes), in French
language with removable English subtitles, DVD encoded for ALL REGION
NTSC, playable on any American machine. Extras include Behind the Scenes
feature and a gallery.
