Italian director Dallamano
made WHAT
HAVE THEY DONE TO SOLANGE? in 1971, a grim thriller set in a remote
girl's school featuring a psychotic killer bent on wiping out the enrollment
class. That movie's success brought Massimo Dallamano back to the fertile
locale for another interpretation.
A young co-ed is found
hanged in an attic. There is evidence that she was actually murdered elsewhere
and brought to this spot to make it look like a suicide. An obsessed detective
takes over the case. With the help of a female district attorney, he discovers
the sordid truth which involves child prostitution and corruption in the
upper echelons of the police department.
