Hun-Su Park modernizes a folk tale about a "fox woman" (sorta like a werewolf
except she's a fox amalgamation) who desperately strives to become a full
human. The fox-woman is now 999 years old; she can become human if she
drains the spirit of a human male lover before her 1000th birthday. ·The
forces of Hell dispatch a hitman to make sure this doesn't happen.· The
movie, exquisitely photographed by director Park, is an intriguing blend
of romance, eroticism and fantasy from Korea's Golden Period of the '90s.
