After
years of working as John Woo's right-hand man in the editing room, David
Wu now comes forward with an action packed "gun" movie that
is destined to become a classic. A young man from a small Chinese
village (circa 1940s) rescues an American soldier from a wrecked airplane.
The soldier, as he recuperates, teaches Lian-feng everything he needs
to know about firearms. Later, Lian-feng is forced into WW2 where he
learns the craft of the sniper. Eventually, his knowledge of weapons
leads him to a tension-filled - perhaps even regrettable - life.
A
Hong Kong film; widescreen (2.35:1), uncut (95 minutes) in DVD encoded
for ALL REGION NTSC, playable on any American DVD machine; in Chinese language with optional English or Chinese subtitles.
