Legendary
filmmaker Otto Preminger directed this psychedelic comedy (reportedly
after discovering the bliss of LSD) in 1968; despite the big budget and
impressive cast, it became notorious as one of the worst movies of all
time. Jackie Gleason plays a gangster who reluctantly comes out of retirement
to whack an old friend now turned informant. Meanwhile, his sheltered
wife and daughter discover the joys of drugs and the hippie lifestyle.
When things get horribly boggled, top Mafia boss God (played by Groucho
Marx) steps in to calm the waters.
