Novelist Sonia Petrova is murdered after a night in a seedy motel with her lover. Husband Peter is the immediate suspect in Sonia's death and he's taken into custody. The investigating detective soon discovers that infidelity is no stranger to either the dead woman or her husband as they were both involved in adulterous affairs. Things become very complicated when Peter's mistress becomes a victim to the same mysterious killer.
