Old
style horror blends with forbidden love in this period thriller produced
by Abel Ferrara. Lucille lives with her domineering father and aunt in
a creepy mansion in the middle of nowhere. She's about to turn 18 and
longs to go to college to study poetry, but her surgeon father insists
that she study the sciences. Lucille attempts suicide, but survives with
burns to her face. Her father decides to treat the girl at home and he
hires a lesbian nurse to care for her. Big mistake.
