Director Kitamura
returns to the basics with this exceptional thriller, easily his best
film in years. The story: beautiful Sheela betrays her abusive, sadistic
Yakuza lover by stealing a cache of the mob's money. Her idea is to start
a new life without him. Sheela and a young gangster underling make their
daring escape together. Obviously things don't go as planned in this world
where everything is settled by bullets, sex and violence.
