Recently
widowed Noriko lives with here senile father-in-law on a farm in upper
Japan. Meanwhile, the old man risks losing his farm due to his failing
mental health. He is distraught over the death of his favorite cow. Noriko
pretends to be the cow, allow him to milk her every morning. When the
old man's jealous daughter discovers the bizarre arrangement, she attempts
to put an end to it.
