Combining the vision of Akira Kurosawa and Sergio Leone, cult director Miike has now created a Japanese rendition of the Spaghetti Western DJANGO (with more than a casual nod to FISTFUL OF DOLLARS). The cinematic world will never be the same again! Loosely based on Japan's Genpei Wars, the setting is mid-19th Century as two gangs, the Minamoto and Taira (the Reds and Whites), face off in a western town named Yuda; their power-struggle is compromised when a blackcaped ·Sartana· comes to the aid of the townsfolk.
