Kim Ji-Woon's
notorious Korean black comedy has been imitated (and duplicated) by many
other filmmakers worldwide (note, Takashi Miike's "Happiness of the
Katakuris" and the gory HK version "Mysterious Murder"),
but none have topped the original. This is the unconventional story of
a family who moves to the mountains and reopens a resort ...only to experience
one gruesome murder after another. Starring OLD BOY's Choi Min-Shik in
an early role.
When Dad gets
fired, a family decides to work together by repairing an old rural inn.
But all guests are viciously murdered soon after check-in. The family,
scared of negative publicity, refine the art of secrecy.
