TOPO, Alejandro Jodorowsky delivered this surrealistic tale about
circus freaks, armless saints, and a demented serial killer.
Co-written
by Dario Argento's brother Claudio, this film stars Jodorowsky's son as
Fenix, a boy who sees his brute-of-a-father cut off mom's arms after getting
caught in a sordid sex romp with the circus tattooed woman. Then the action
jumps to Fenix all grown up and confined to an asylum. After breaking
out, he soon finds his limbless mother and becomes her slave in a series
of brutal killings.
