Based on an erotic novel published anonymously in the early 1900's, this movie tells the story of a Geisha's secret world and her list of commandments (e.g., "Don't judge a man by his face" and "Never give your heart to a first time client"). Geisha Sodeko (Miyashita) and her lover learn how to balance their relationship even in the shadows of her life as a prostitute. The film actually takes place during a hot night of lovemaking, as the two share both a bed and memories.
