The film opens during
the middle ages inside a monastery in Italy where monks try to perform
an exorcism on an old man. One of the monks gets possessed, but is then
sealed alive in a locked room protected by the holy seal. Advance to modern
day. A young teacher named Elizabeth Magrino visits the monastery to conduct
research on the Church. Her arrival sparks a series of weird problems
and the monks turn against Elizabeth. It all culminates with the manifestations
of the Beast of the Apocalypse, the anticrist.
