Effective Drive-In Horror from America's Golden Period

director: Tom Moore
starring: Anitra Walsh
Robert Elston Darryl Wells Barbara Brownell Jack Gardner Marie Santell

College student Jill is taking a class on superstition when she accidentally becomes possessed by Marie Santel, a witch who was hanged in 1648. The witch - now living inside Jill - persuades her teacher Mac Stuart and boyfriend Alan to teach her the ways of modern society. Once armed with knowledge, she begins to kill people, mostly for fun. Mac Stuart tries to stop her, but he is seduced by the witch. When he kisses her, he's transported back to 17th-century England just in time for his own execution.
This quirky, effective horror film is a remarkably good vehicle for actress Anitra Walsh who was only 22 at the time. Sadly, she died from undisclosed trauma ten years later in May 1980. Her co-star, Robert Elston, also died young - from AIDS - at age 55 in December 1987 after a career in television work. This was the only project for director Tom Moore. After this film, he became a CBS producer concentrating mostly on documentaries, including the Emmy winning series The Body Human. Mr Moore died from natural causes in March 2007. He was 88.

An American film, in English language; widescreen format (16:9), fully uncut (84 minutes),
